Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf host an interactive session with traders under the aegis of the Kano Traders’ Association, to address various pressing concerns; including security, the economy, and social amenities.
He began by condoling with the populace over the recent destruction of public and private property by some hired elements. He also praised the traders for their proactive support in protecting their markets, which saved the state from further damage.
This proactiveness underscores the need for community policing and cooperation to address security issues in the state.
The meeting also afforded me the chance to urge the traders to cooperate with the government in ensuring appropriate refuse disposal, and to request their support in maintaining social amenities.
the governor stated the he is pleased that normalcy is gradually being restored in Kano, as he hope that with the support demonstrated by our good people, this phase will be over and we shall forge ahead in our efforts to ensure that we provide a fair environment for all to prosper.
