This was contained in a statement signed by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa on Thursday.
Governor Yusuf made the disclosure on Wednesday during the 36th State Executive Council meeting held at the Government House, Kano.

“The dedication and commitment these two legislators demonstrated towards the development of Kano State cannot be overstated,” the governor said.
A special prayer session was held during the council meeting for the repose of the souls of the departed lawmakers. The prayers were led by the Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Sheikh Tijjani Auwal, and the Commissioner for Education, Hon. Haruna Ali Makoda.
